The New Vision is a daily English-language newspaper published in Uganda that is available in print and online. The Daily Monitor is Uganda's other major national English-language newspaper, while New Vision is one of its two primary national English-language newspapers. It is published by the Vision Group, which has its headquarters on First Street in Kampala's Industrial Area, Uganda's capital and largest city in that East African country.
The Weekly Observer is a weekly Ugandan newspaper based in Kamwokya, Kampala. It is one of the country's largest privately owned publications, co-founded by maverick journalist John Kevin Aliro and nine other directors. In 2007, its reporter Richard M Kavuma was named CNN Multichoice African Journalist of the Year. The newspaper was created in 2004 and celebrated its tenth anniversary in March 2014.
