Awena is an independent Kurdish weekly newspaper published in Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan, every Tuesday. In Kurdish, Awena means "The Mirror." Asos Ahmed Hardi, the former editor-in-chief of Hawlati, founded the newspaper after resigning due to a feud with the company's owner.
